Performance Summary section

What this section is

In Dashboard → Product Performance (the Charts area), the Performance Summary is a table that compares how each product performed in the current period versus a comparison period.

It appears below the Product Performance charts and is titled Performance Summary.

Its purpose is to give a clear, product-by-product comparison, not a visual trend.

What the table shows

One row per product

Each row represents one product.

For every product, the table shows:

  • current-period results
  • comparison-period results
  • a clear indication of whether performance went up, down, or stayed the same

Product column

The Product column helps you identify the item quickly and includes:

  • product image (or a placeholder if missing)
  • product name (shortened if needed)
  • a tooltip that shows the full product name

SKU or ASIN badges may also appear to help distinguish similar products.

Performance metrics

For each product, the table shows three key metrics:

  • Orders Number of orders in the selected period.

  • Quantity Total units sold.

  • Revenue Total sales value.

Each metric is shown for:

  • the current period, and
  • the comparison period

Trend indicators

Next to each metric, the table shows a trend indicator that explains how the value changed compared to the comparison period.

The indicator:

  • shows an up arrow when the value increased
  • shows a down arrow when the value decreased
  • shows a neutral icon when there is no prior data or no change

When you hover over the indicator, a tooltip explains:

  • the percentage increase or decrease
  • the absolute change (money or units)

This lets you understand both direction and magnitude of change.

What period the comparison uses

Current period

The current values reflect the active Dashboard selection, including:

  • time range
  • products
  • marketplaces

Comparison period

Above the table, the Dashboard displays a comparison date range and the number of days in that range.

This range represents the period used to compare performance against the current selection.

The intention, as described in the UI, is to compare the selected period with an identical or equivalent time frame from the past.

What you can do with the table

  • Sort by metrics Click Orders, Quantity, or Revenue to sort products from highest to lowest (or vice versa).

  • Inspect performance changes Use the trend indicators and tooltips to see exactly how each product changed versus the comparison period.

  • Review full product names Hover over truncated product names to see the complete title.

The table is focused on analysis. It does not act as a navigation or drilldown control.

Why this table matters

Use Performance Summary when you want clear answers to questions like:

  • Which products improved compared to the last comparable period?
  • Which products declined, and by how much?
  • Are revenue changes driven by more orders, higher quantity, or both?

It complements the charts by providing exact numbers and explicit comparisons, making it easier to prioritize which products deserve attention.
