PROPAMP AI Marketplaces Settings

Understanding Marketplaces Settings

The Marketplaces section is where you connect PROPAMP AI to your Amazon seller accounts across different countries. This is crucial because PROPAMP AI needs access to your Amazon data to provide insights and analytics.

Why Marketplaces Matter: Each Amazon marketplace (like Amazon.com for the United States, Amazon.co.uk for the United Kingdom) operates as a separate selling platform. If you sell in multiple countries, you likely have separate seller accounts for each marketplace. PROPAMP AI can connect to each of these accounts to aggregate your data, giving you a unified view of your entire Amazon business.

The Connection Process: Connecting marketplaces involves authorizing PROPAMP AI to access your Amazon Seller Central data. This is done securely through Amazon’s official authorization system, ensuring your account credentials are never shared with PROPAMP AI.

Key Terminology (Glossary)

FBA (Fulfillment by Amazon): Amazon’s service where they store, pack, and ship your products to customers. When you use FBA, Amazon charges various fees for these services.

Marketplace: An Amazon selling region (like Amazon.com for the United States, Amazon.co.uk for the United Kingdom). Each marketplace operates independently and has its own seller account. Examples include Amazon.com (US), Amazon.co.uk (UK), Amazon.de (Germany), etc.

Marketplace Connection: The authorization link between PROPAMP AI and your Amazon Seller Central account for a specific marketplace. This allows PROPAMP AI to access your sales data, inventory, and financial information.

Connection Limit: The maximum number of marketplace connections allowed by your subscription plan. Each country/marketplace counts as one connection. For example, if your plan allows 5 connections, you can connect to 5 different Amazon marketplaces.

Amazon Ads: Amazon’s advertising platform that allows sellers to promote their products through sponsored ads. PROPAMP AI can connect to your Amazon Ads account to analyze your advertising performance, spending, and return on investment.

View Mode: The default mode in Marketplaces Settings where you can see all available marketplaces and connect new ones. In this mode, you cannot disable existing connections.

Edit Mode: A special mode that allows you to manage which marketplace connections are active. In Edit Mode, you can enable or disable marketplaces using switches, which is useful for staying within your connection limit.

Active Marketplace: A marketplace connection that is currently enabled and included in PROPAMP AI’s data aggregation and calculations. Active marketplaces contribute their data to your reports and dashboards.

Disabled Marketplace: A marketplace connection that exists but is temporarily disabled. Disabled marketplaces don’t contribute data to calculations, but the connection remains and can be re-enabled at any time.

Subscription Plan: Your PROPAMP AI membership tier, which determines how many marketplace connections and features you can access. Different plans offer different connection limits.

Data Sync: The process by which PROPAMP AI retrieves data from your Amazon accounts. This happens automatically on a schedule, typically multiple times per day.

Authorization: The process of granting PROPAMP AI permission to access your Amazon Seller Central data. This is done securely through Amazon’s official system.

The “Why”: Benefits of Connecting Marketplaces

Properly configuring your marketplace connections ensures that:

  1. Complete Data Integration: Connecting all your marketplaces ensures PROPAMP AI has access to your complete sales data across all countries. This gives you a unified view of your entire Amazon business.

  2. Accurate Aggregated Reporting: With multiple marketplaces connected, PROPAMP AI can aggregate data across all your markets, showing you total revenue, total units sold, and other metrics across your entire business.

  3. Market-Specific Analysis: While data is aggregated, you can also analyze performance by individual marketplace, helping you understand which countries perform best.

  4. Comprehensive Profit Analysis: Connecting all marketplaces ensures your profit calculations include all your sales and costs, giving you a complete picture of your business profitability.

  5. Better Decision Making: With complete data, you can make informed decisions about which markets to focus on, which products perform best in which regions, and where to invest your resources.

Comprehensive User Guide

Understanding Marketplace Connections

Each Amazon marketplace operates as a separate selling platform with its own seller account. When you sell in multiple countries, you likely have separate Amazon Seller Central accounts for each marketplace. PROPAMP AI can connect to each of these accounts to aggregate your data.

Why This Matters: Without marketplace connections, PROPAMP AI cannot access your sales data, inventory levels, or financial information. The more marketplaces you connect, the more complete your business picture becomes. PROPAMP AI aggregates data from all connected marketplaces to give you a unified view of your entire Amazon business.

The Connection Process: Connecting involves authorizing PROPAMP AI to access your Amazon Seller Central data. This is done securely through Amazon’s official authorization system - PROPAMP AI never sees or stores your Amazon password.

Your Connection Limit

Your subscription plan determines how many marketplace connections you can have active at once. This limit is displayed prominently at the top of the Marketplaces page.

Understanding the Counter: You’ll see a display like “3 / 5 Countries” which means:

  • 3: The number of marketplaces currently connected and active
  • 5: Your subscription plan’s maximum allowed connections
  • Countries: Each marketplace connection counts as one country

The Progress Bar: Below the counter, a visual progress bar shows your usage. When the bar approaches full, you’re nearing your connection limit. The bar fills from left to right as you add more connections.

Why Limits Exist: Connection limits help PROPAMP AI manage data processing and ensure quality service for all users. Higher-tier subscription plans typically offer more connections.

Checking Your Limit: Your connection limit is always visible at the top of the Marketplaces page. If you’re unsure about your plan’s limit, check your subscription details in your account settings.

Connecting to Amazon Marketplaces

Step-by-Step: Connecting Your First Marketplace

  1. Navigate to Settings: Click on “Settings” in your main navigation menu

  2. Open Marketplaces: You’ll automatically be on the Marketplaces page, or click the “Marketplaces” tab if you’re already in Settings

  3. Review Your Connection Limit: Check the counter at the top (e.g., “0 / 5 Countries”) to see how many connections you have available

  4. Find Your Marketplace: Scroll through the list of marketplaces, organized by region:

    • Americas: United States, Canada, Mexico, Brazil
    • Europe: United Kingdom, Germany, France, Italy, Spain, Belgium, Netherlands, Poland, Sweden, Turkey, Ireland, South Africa, UAE
    • Asia Pacific & Africa: Japan, Australia, India, Singapore
  5. Click the Connection Button: For each marketplace, you’ll see a button labeled with the marketplace name (e.g., “Connect to United States” or similar). Click this button.

  6. Amazon Login Window: A new window or popup will open asking you to log in to your Amazon Seller Central account for that marketplace. This is Amazon’s official authorization page.

  7. Log In to Amazon: Enter your Amazon Seller Central credentials for that specific marketplace. Make sure you’re logging into the correct marketplace account.

  8. Authorize PROPAMP AI: After logging in, Amazon will ask you to authorize PROPAMP AI to access your seller data. You’ll see a list of permissions PROPAMP AI is requesting. Review these and click “Authorize” or “Allow” to proceed.

  9. Confirmation: Once authorized, the window will close automatically, and you’ll see a success message in PROPAMP AI confirming the connection.

  10. Green Checkmark Appears: A green checkmark will appear next to the marketplace, indicating it’s successfully connected. The connection button may become disabled or change to show it’s connected.

Important Notes:

  • You must log in with the Amazon Seller Central account credentials for that specific marketplace
  • Each marketplace requires a separate authorization
  • The authorization process is secure and handled directly by Amazon
  • You can only connect marketplaces where you have an active Amazon seller account
  • Make sure popup blockers aren’t preventing the authorization window from opening

Connecting Multiple Marketplaces

You can connect multiple marketplaces one at a time by repeating the connection process for each one. There’s no limit to how many you can attempt to connect, but your subscription plan limits how many can be active simultaneously.

Best Practice: Connect your most important marketplaces first (typically your highest-revenue countries), then add others as needed. This ensures your most critical data is available first.

Connection Order: The order in which you connect marketplaces doesn’t matter - PROPAMP AI treats all connections equally. Connect them in whatever order is most convenient for you.

Time Between Connections: You can connect multiple marketplaces in quick succession, or spread them out over time. There’s no waiting period required between connections.

Connecting to Amazon Ads

Amazon Ads is Amazon’s advertising platform. Connecting it allows PROPAMP AI to analyze your advertising performance, spending, and return on investment.

Location: The Amazon Ads connection option appears at the top of the marketplaces list, in its own dedicated section with a clear heading.

How to Connect Amazon Ads:

  1. Find the Amazon Ads Section: Look for the “Amazon Ads” heading near the top of the Marketplaces page, above the regional marketplace sections

  2. Click the Connection Button: You’ll see a button to connect to Amazon Ads (similar to marketplace connection buttons)

  3. Amazon Authorization: A popup window will open asking you to log in to your Amazon account. This is Amazon’s official authorization page for Amazon Ads.

  4. Log In and Authorize: Enter your Amazon credentials and authorize PROPAMP AI to access your Amazon Ads data. Review the permissions being requested.

  5. Confirmation: Once connected, a green checkmark will appear next to Amazon Ads, and the button will become disabled (indicating an active connection)

What Amazon Ads Connection Provides:

  • Advertising spend data across all your campaigns
  • Campaign performance metrics (impressions, clicks, conversions)
  • Return on ad spend (ROAS) analysis
  • Advertising cost of sales (ACoS) tracking
  • Integration with your overall profit calculations
  • Insights into which advertising campaigns are most effective

Important Notes:

  • Amazon Ads connection is separate from marketplace connections
  • You need an active Amazon Ads account to connect
  • The Amazon Ads connection doesn’t count toward your marketplace connection limit
  • You can connect Amazon Ads even if you haven’t connected any marketplaces yet

Managing Marketplace Connections in Edit Mode

Edit Mode allows you to manage which marketplace connections are active. This is essential when you need to stay within your connection limit or want to temporarily disable certain marketplaces.

Entering Edit Mode

How to Enter Edit Mode:

  1. Click the “Edit View” button in the top-right corner of the Marketplaces page
  2. The interface will change to show only your currently connected marketplaces
  3. Each marketplace will display a switch/toggle control instead of a connection button
  4. The button text changes to “Save Configuration”

When Edit Mode is Automatically Enabled: Edit Mode may automatically activate if you exceed your connection limit, requiring you to disable some marketplaces before you can proceed.

Exiting Edit Mode

How to Exit Edit Mode:

  1. Click the “Save Configuration” button (which replaces “Edit View” when in edit mode)
  2. Your changes will be saved
  3. You’ll see a success message confirming your configuration was saved
  4. The interface returns to View Mode, showing all available marketplaces again

Important: If you make changes in Edit Mode but don’t click “Save Configuration,” your changes will be lost when you navigate away from the page.

Enabling/Disabling Marketplaces

To Disable a Marketplace:

  1. Enter Edit Mode by clicking “Edit View”
  2. Find the marketplace you want to disable in the list
  3. Toggle the switch to the “Off” position (the switch will move to the left/unhighlighted position)
  4. The marketplace will be deselected (you may see visual feedback indicating it’s disabled)
  5. Click “Save Configuration” to apply the change
  6. You’ll see a success message confirming the change

To Enable a Marketplace:

  1. Enter Edit Mode
  2. Find the marketplace you want to enable in the list

  4. Visual feedback will indicate it’s selected
  5. Click “Save Configuration” to apply the change
  6. You’ll see a success message confirming the change

Important Considerations:

  • Disabling a marketplace doesn’t delete your historical data from that marketplace
  • Disabling stops new data from syncing, but existing data remains in PROPAMP AI
  • You can re-enable a marketplace at any time
  • You cannot enable more marketplaces than your subscription plan allows
  • Disabled marketplaces don’t contribute data to your reports and calculations

Understanding Connection Limits in Edit Mode

When you’re in Edit Mode and trying to enable marketplaces, you may encounter limitations:

Scenario 1: At Your Limit

  • If you have 5 marketplaces connected and your plan allows 5, you cannot enable any additional ones
  • Switches for disabled marketplaces will be grayed out or non-functional
  • You must disable an existing marketplace first to enable a new one
  • The connection counter will show you’re at your limit (e.g., “5 / 5 Countries”)

Scenario 2: Exceeding Your Limit

  • If you somehow have more active connections than your plan allows, you’ll see a warning message
  • The system will require you to disable some marketplaces before you can save your configuration
  • An alert will explain how many connections you need to disable
  • Edit Mode may be automatically enabled in this situation

Scenario 3: Below Your Limit

  • If you have fewer active connections than your limit, you can freely enable additional marketplaces
  • All switches will be functional
  • You can enable marketplaces up to your limit
  • The connection counter will show available slots (e.g., “3 / 5 Countries” means you can enable 2 more)

The Connection Limit Alert

If you exceed your connection limit, you’ll see a prominent alert message at the top of the Marketplaces page. This alert is designed to help you understand and resolve the situation.

What the Alert Shows:

  • Problem Explanation: Clearly states that you’ve reached your plan’s limit
  • Your Limit: Displays how many marketplace connections your plan allows
  • Guidance: Explains that you need to uncheck some marketplaces to stay within your limit
  • Upgrade Option: Includes a button to upgrade your plan if you need more connections

What the Alert Means:

  • You cannot save your configuration until you’re within your limit
  • Unchecking marketplaces won’t affect your existing connections (they remain connected to Amazon)
  • Unchecking only controls which marketplaces PROPAMP AI actively tracks and includes in calculations
  • You can upgrade your plan to increase your connection limit

How to Resolve:

  1. Disable Some Marketplaces: Enter Edit Mode and disable marketplaces you’re not actively using
  2. Upgrade Your Plan: Click the “Upgrade Plan” button to see plans with higher connection limits
  3. Contact Support: If you believe your limit is incorrect, contact PROPAMP AI support

Security and Privacy Information

PROPAMP AI takes security seriously. When you connect marketplaces, your data and account security are protected through multiple layers of security.

Security Features:

  • All connections use Amazon’s official authorization system (OAuth)
  • PROPAMP AI never stores your Amazon password
  • All data transmission is encrypted using industry-standard encryption
  • You can revoke access at any time through your Amazon Seller Central account
  • PROPAMP AI only requests the minimum permissions needed to provide its services

What PROPAMP AI Accesses:

  • Sales and transaction data
  • Inventory levels and stock information
  • Financial reports and statements
  • Product information and listings
  • Advertising data (if Amazon Ads is connected)
  • Order and fulfillment data

What PROPAMP AI Cannot Access:

  • Your Amazon account password
  • Personal payment information stored in Amazon

Revoking Access: If you ever want to disconnect a marketplace, you can revoke PROPAMP AI’s access through your Amazon Seller Central account settings:

  1. Log into Amazon Seller Central
  2. Go to Settings → User Permissions (or similar, depending on marketplace)
  3. Find PROPAMP AI in your authorized applications
  4. Click “Revoke Access” or “Remove”
  5. This will immediately stop data syncing for that marketplace

Data Retention: When you disconnect a marketplace, PROPAMP AI may retain historical data for reporting purposes, but new data will stop syncing. Contact PROPAMP AI support if you have questions about data retention policies.

Regional Organization

Marketplaces are organized into three main regions for easier navigation. This organization helps you quickly find the marketplace you’re looking for, especially if you sell in many countries.

Americas Region

The Americas region includes:

  • United States (US): Amazon.com
  • Canada (CA): Amazon.ca
  • Mexico (MX): Amazon.com.mx
  • Brazil (BR): Amazon.com.br

These marketplaces are grouped together because they share similar characteristics and are often managed as a regional group by sellers.

Europe Region

The Europe region includes:

  • United Kingdom (GB): Amazon.co.uk
  • Germany (DE): Amazon.de
  • France (FR): Amazon.fr
  • Italy (IT): Amazon.it
  • Spain (ES): Amazon.es
  • Belgium (BE): Amazon.com.be
  • Netherlands (NL): Amazon.nl
  • Poland (PL): Amazon.pl
  • Sweden (SE): Amazon.se
  • Turkey (TR): Amazon.com.tr
  • Ireland (IE): Amazon.ie
  • South Africa (ZA): Amazon.co.za
  • UAE (AE): Amazon.ae

Europe is the largest region with the most marketplaces, reflecting Amazon’s extensive presence across European countries.

Asia Pacific & Africa Region

The Asia Pacific & Africa region includes:

  • Japan (JP): Amazon.co.jp
  • Australia (AU): Amazon.com.au
  • India (IN): Amazon.in
  • Singapore (SG): Amazon.sg

This region represents Amazon’s presence in Asia and the Pacific, with plans for expansion to additional countries.

Why Regional Organization Matters: Grouping marketplaces by region helps you:

  • Quickly find the marketplace you’re looking for
  • Understand which markets are available in which regions
  • Plan your expansion strategy by region
  • Navigate more efficiently when you have many marketplace options

The Logic “Under the Hood”

Understanding how PROPAMP AI aggregates data from multiple marketplaces and enforces connection limits helps you make informed decisions about which marketplaces to connect and how to manage your connections.

Marketplace Connection Impact on Data Aggregation

When PROPAMP AI aggregates data from multiple marketplaces, it combines information using summation. This means data from all active marketplaces is added together to create totals.

The Aggregation Formula: Total Metric=j=1mMetricj×Activej\text{Total Metric} = \sum_{j=1}^{m} \text{Metric}_j \times \text{Active}_j

Where:

  • Metricj\text{Metric}_j is the metric value (revenue, units sold, etc.) from marketplace jj
  • Activej\text{Active}_j is a binary value (1 if marketplace jj is active/enabled, 0 if disabled)
  • mm is the total number of marketplaces
  • The summation (\sum) adds up values from all marketplaces

In Plain Language: PROPAMP AI adds up data from all your active marketplace connections. If you disable a marketplace in Edit Mode, its data stops being included in totals, but historical data remains in the system.

Example: If you have:

  • US marketplace: $5,000 revenue (active)
  • UK marketplace: $3,000 revenue (active)
  • DE marketplace: $2,000 revenue (disabled)

Your total revenue shown in PROPAMP AI would be: Total Revenue=$5,000×1+$3,000×1+$2,000×0=$8,000\text{Total Revenue} = \$5,000 \times 1 + \$3,000 \times 1 + \$2,000 \times 0 = \$8,000

The German marketplace revenue isn’t included because it’s disabled (multiplied by 0), even though the connection exists. Only active marketplaces (multiplied by 1) contribute to the total.

Key Insight: Disabling a marketplace doesn’t delete its data - it just excludes it from current calculations. When you re-enable it, its data immediately starts contributing to totals again.

Connection Limit Enforcement Logic

PROPAMP AI enforces your subscription connection limit using a simple constraint. This ensures you stay within your plan’s limits.

The Constraint Formula: j=1mActivejConnection Limit\sum_{j=1}^{m} \text{Active}_j \leq \text{Connection Limit}

Where:

  • Activej\text{Active}_j is 1 if marketplace jj is enabled, 0 if disabled
  • Connection Limit\text{Connection Limit} is your subscription plan’s maximum allowed connections
  • The summation counts how many marketplaces are currently active
  • The \leq symbol means “less than or equal to” - you cannot exceed your limit

In Plain Language: The number of enabled marketplaces cannot exceed your plan’s limit. If you try to enable more, the system prevents you from saving until you disable some.

Example: If your plan allows 5 connections and you try to enable 6 marketplaces:

  • The system calculates: 1+1+1+1+1+1=61 + 1 + 1 + 1 + 1 + 1 = 6 (six active marketplaces)
  • Your limit is: 55
  • Since 6>56 > 5 (6 is greater than 5), the system shows an error
  • The system requires you to disable at least one marketplace before saving

How the System Enforces This:

  1. When you try to enable a marketplace that would exceed your limit, the switch may be disabled (grayed out)
  2. If you somehow exceed the limit, you’ll see an alert message
  3. The system won’t let you save your configuration until you’re within the limit
  4. Edit Mode may be automatically enabled if you exceed your limit

Data Sync Timing and Calculations

PROPAMP AI processes marketplace data on a schedule, not instantaneously. Understanding this helps you know when to expect updated data.

Sync Schedule: Marketplace data syncs from Amazon on a regular schedule, typically multiple times per day. The exact frequency depends on:

  • Your subscription plan
  • Amazon’s API rate limits
  • The number of marketplaces you have connected
  • System load and processing capacity

Calculation Formula for Display: Displayed Metric=f(Synced Data,Active Marketplaces)\text{Displayed Metric} = f(\text{Synced Data}, \text{Active Marketplaces})

Where ff represents the calculation function that:

  • Takes the most recently synced data from Amazon
  • Applies your current active marketplace settings
  • Aggregates data from all active marketplaces
  • Displays the result in your reports and dashboards

In Practice:

  • You connect a marketplace → Authorization happens immediately → Data sync begins on the next sync cycle
  • You disable a marketplace → It immediately stops contributing to calculations → Historical data remains
  • Amazon syncs new data → PROPAMP AI applies your current active marketplace settings → Reports update with new data

Important: There may be a delay between when transactions occur on Amazon and when they appear in PROPAMP AI, depending on the sync schedule. This is normal and expected.

Marketplace Status and Data Contribution

Each marketplace connection has a status that determines whether it contributes data to your reports:

Active Status (Activej=1\text{Active}_j = 1):

  • Marketplace is connected AND enabled
  • Data from this marketplace is included in all calculations
  • New data syncs regularly from this marketplace
  • Contributes to aggregated totals and reports

Disabled Status (Activej=0\text{Active}_j = 0):

  • Marketplace is connected BUT disabled
  • Data from this marketplace is excluded from calculations
  • New data does NOT sync (connection remains, but inactive)
  • Does NOT contribute to aggregated totals
  • Historical data remains in the system

Not Connected (No connection exists):

  • Marketplace has never been connected
  • No data exists for this marketplace in PROPAMP AI
  • Cannot contribute to calculations (no data to contribute)

Troubleshooting & FAQ

Common Issues and Solutions

Issue: “I can’t connect to a marketplace”

Symptoms:

  • Clicking the connection button doesn’t open a popup
  • The authorization window closes immediately
  • You see an error message
  • The connection process starts but fails

Possible Causes and Solutions:

  1. Popup Blocker: Your browser is blocking the authorization popup window.

Possible Causes and Solutions:

  1. Amazon Ads Account Not Set Up: You might not have an active Amazon Ads account.

    • Solution: Ensure you have an active Amazon Ads account associated with your seller account. Set up Amazon Ads if you haven’t already through Amazon Seller Central. You need to have run at least one advertising campaign for the connection to be useful.
  2. Account Mismatch: The Amazon account you’re authorizing might not be linked to your seller account.

    • Solution: Make sure you’re authorizing with the Amazon account that’s associated with your Amazon Seller Central account. Amazon Ads must be linked to your seller account for PROPAMP AI to access the data.
  3. Regional Restrictions: Amazon Ads might not be available in all marketplaces.

    • Solution: Verify that Amazon Ads is available in your marketplace. Some regions have limited Amazon Ads functionality. Check Amazon’s documentation for your specific marketplace to confirm Amazon Ads availability.
  4. Temporary Amazon Service Issues: Amazon’s authorization service might be experiencing problems.

    • Solution: Wait a few hours and try again. Check Amazon Seller Central status pages for any reported issues. Amazon occasionally has service disruptions that affect authorization.
  5. Permissions Not Granted: You might not have granted the necessary permissions during authorization.

    • Solution: Try disconnecting and reconnecting Amazon Ads. During re-authorization, make sure you grant all requested permissions. Review the permission screen carefully and ensure you’re allowing PROPAMP AI to access your advertising data.

Issue: “My marketplace shows as connected but I don’t see data”

Symptoms:

  • Green checkmark appears next to marketplace
  • Connection seems successful
  • But reports show no data from that marketplace
  • Data hasn’t appeared after several hours

Possible Causes and Solutions:

  1. Data Sync Delay: PROPAMP AI syncs data on a schedule, not instantly.

    • Solution: Wait for the next data sync cycle (usually within a few hours). Data doesn’t appear immediately after connection - it takes time for PROPAMP AI to sync data from Amazon. Check when your data was last updated in your dashboard.
  2. Marketplace Disabled: The marketplace might be connected but disabled in Edit Mode.

    • Solution: Check if you’re in Edit Mode and if the marketplace switch is enabled. Disabled marketplaces don’t contribute data even though they’re connected. Enable the marketplace if it’s disabled.
  3. No Recent Activity: The marketplace might not have had any sales or activity recently.

    • Solution: Verify that you have recent sales or activity in that marketplace on Amazon. PROPAMP AI can only sync data that exists on Amazon. If there’s no activity, there’s no data to sync.
  4. Sync Issues: There might be a temporary sync problem.

    • Solution: Try disconnecting and reconnecting the marketplace. This forces a fresh sync. Wait a few hours after reconnecting for data to appear. Contact support if data doesn’t appear after 24 hours.
  5. Wrong Account Connected: You might have connected the wrong Amazon account.

    • Solution: Verify you connected the correct Amazon Seller Central account. If you connected the wrong account, disconnect and reconnect with the correct one. Check your Amazon Seller Central to confirm which account has your sales data.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Will disabling a marketplace delete my historical data?

A: No. Disabling a marketplace in Edit Mode only stops new data from syncing. All your historical data from that marketplace remains in PROPAMP AI and can be viewed in reports. You can re-enable the marketplace at any time to resume syncing. Historical data is preserved even if you disconnect the marketplace entirely (though you’d need to reconnect to see it).

Q: Can I connect the same marketplace twice?

A: No. Each marketplace can only be connected once. If you try to connect a marketplace that’s already connected, you’ll see that it’s already active (indicated by a green checkmark). The connection button will be disabled or show that it’s already connected. If you need to reconnect (for example, after revoking access), you must first disconnect it through Amazon Seller Central, then reconnect through PROPAMP AI.

Q: What’s the difference between disconnecting and disabling a marketplace?

A:

  • Disconnecting: Removes the authorization between PROPAMP AI and Amazon. This requires revoking access in Amazon Seller Central. Data syncing stops completely, and you’d need to reconnect (go through the full authorization process again) to resume. This is a more permanent action.
  • Disabling: Keeps the connection active but tells PROPAMP AI not to include that marketplace’s data in calculations. This is done through Edit Mode in PROPAMP AI and doesn’t affect the Amazon authorization. You can quickly re-enable it without re-authorizing. This is a temporary action for managing your connection limit.

When to Disconnect: Use when you no longer need the marketplace connection at all, or if you’re having persistent sync issues and want to start fresh.

When to Disable: Use when you temporarily need to free up a connection slot or want to exclude a marketplace from calculations without losing the connection.

Q: Why do some marketplaces show as unavailable?

A: Marketplaces might be unavailable if:

  • They’re not supported by your subscription plan (some plans may have marketplace restrictions)
  • Amazon has restricted access in your region
  • There are temporary service issues with that specific marketplace
  • The marketplace requires special setup or approval from Amazon
  • The marketplace is new and PROPAMP AI hasn’t added support yet

If you believe a marketplace should be available, contact PROPAMP AI support to inquire about availability and requirements.

Q: How often does PROPAMP AI sync data from Amazon?

A: Data syncing happens on a regular schedule, typically multiple times per day. The exact frequency depends on:

  • Your subscription plan (higher tiers may have more frequent syncs)
  • Amazon’s API rate limits
  • The number of marketplaces you have connected
  • System load and processing capacity

PROPAMP AI works to keep your data as current as possible while respecting rate limits. Most users see data updates within a few hours of transactions occurring on Amazon.

Q: Can I connect marketplaces in any order?

A: Yes. The order in which you connect marketplaces doesn’t matter. PROPAMP AI treats all connections equally regardless of when they were connected. Connect them in whatever order is most convenient for you. Many users connect their highest-revenue marketplaces first, but this is just a best practice, not a requirement.

Q: What happens if I exceed my connection limit?

A: If you exceed your connection limit:

  • You’ll see a prominent alert message explaining the situation
  • Edit Mode may be automatically enabled
  • You won’t be able to save your configuration until you’re within your limit
  • You’ll need to disable some marketplaces or upgrade your plan
  • The system will guide you through resolving the issue

The system prevents you from staying over your limit, so you’ll need to take action to resolve it.

Q: Does Amazon Ads connection count toward my marketplace connection limit?

A: No. Amazon Ads connection is separate and does not count toward your marketplace connection limit. You can connect Amazon Ads regardless of how many marketplace connections you have. Amazon Ads is considered a separate service integration, not a marketplace connection.

Q: What should I do if I see incorrect data after connecting a marketplace?

A:

  1. Verify the connection is active (green checkmark present)
  2. Check that the marketplace is enabled (not disabled in Edit Mode)
  3. Wait for a full data sync cycle (usually a few hours)
  4. Verify you connected the correct Amazon Seller Central account
  5. Check that the data exists in your Amazon Seller Central account
  6. If issues persist, try disconnecting and reconnecting the marketplace
  7. Contact support if problems continue after trying these steps

Q: How do I know if my marketplace connection is working?

A: Signs that your connection is working:

  • Green checkmark appears next to the marketplace
  • Connection button is disabled or shows “Connected” status
  • Data appears in your reports and dashboards (after sync completes)
  • No error messages in the Marketplaces settings page
  • The marketplace appears in your active connections list

If you see a green checkmark but no data after 24 hours, contact support.

Q: Can I have different users manage different marketplaces?

A: No. Marketplace connections are account-wide, not user-specific. All users in your organization see the same connected marketplaces. However, you can control which users have permission to modify marketplace connections through user permissions settings. Only administrators or users with specific permissions can connect, disconnect, or manage marketplaces.

Q: What happens to my settings if I upgrade or downgrade my subscription?

A:

  • Upgrade: You gain access to more marketplace connections. Your existing connections remain unchanged. You can immediately start connecting additional marketplaces up to your new limit.
  • Downgrade: If you have more active marketplace connections than your new plan allows, you’ll need to disable some marketplaces to stay within the new limit. Your existing connections remain, but you’ll need to manage which ones are active. Fee exclusion settings (in Global Settings) are unaffected by subscription changes.

Q: Can I export a list of my connected marketplaces?

A: Currently, there’s no direct export function for marketplace connections. However, you can see all your connected marketplaces listed on the Marketplaces settings page. You can take a screenshot or manually document your connections if needed. PROPAMP AI may add export functionality in future updates.

Q: What permissions does PROPAMP AI request when I connect a marketplace?

A: PROPAMP AI requests permissions to access:

  • Your sales and transaction data
  • Inventory levels and stock information
  • Financial reports and statements
  • Product information and listings
  • Order and fulfillment data

PROPAMP AI only requests the minimum permissions needed to provide its analytics and reporting services. You can review the exact permissions during the authorization process on Amazon’s authorization page.

Q: Is it safe to connect my Amazon accounts to PROPAMP AI?

A: Yes. PROPAMP AI uses Amazon’s official authorization system (OAuth), which is the same secure system used by other Amazon-approved applications. PROPAMP AI never sees or stores your Amazon password. All data transmission is encrypted. You can revoke access at any time through your Amazon Seller Central account. PROPAMP AI is designed with security as a top priority and follows industry best practices for data protection.

Conclusion

The Marketplaces Settings section is essential for connecting PROPAMP AI to your Amazon seller accounts and ensuring you have complete data for accurate analysis. By properly configuring your marketplace connections, you enable PROPAMP AI to provide comprehensive insights across your entire Amazon business.

Remember:

  • Marketplace connections determine what data PROPAMP AI can access and analyze
  • Connection limits are based on your subscription plan
  • Edit Mode allows you to manage which marketplaces are active
  • Disabling a marketplace stops data contribution but preserves historical data
  • Amazon Ads connection is separate and doesn’t count toward marketplace limits
  • Security is maintained through Amazon’s official authorization system

Take time to connect all your important marketplaces, and use Edit Mode strategically to manage your connection limit. As your business grows and expands to new markets, you can easily add new marketplace connections or upgrade your plan to accommodate more connections.
