Product Performance section on the Dashboard
Where this section is
On the Dashboard, the Product Performance section appears below the Products Performance Table. This area summarizes how your products are performing for the currently selected time period, products, and marketplaces.
Its purpose is to turn raw product data into visual comparisons and trends.
What you see in the Product Performance section
This section has two parts:
- Product Performance Analytics (charts with tabs)
- Performance Summary (a comparison table)
1. Product Performance Analytics (charts)
This card contains two tabs: Revenue Distribution and Sales Performance.
Revenue Distribution
What it shows
This is a pie chart showing how total revenue is split between products.

Each slice represents one product.

Slice size reflects that product’s share of total revenue.

The center of the chart shows:
- “Total Sales”
- The total revenue for all visible products combined
You are looking at distribution, not change over time.
How to use it
Use this view to quickly answer:
- Which products generate most of the revenue?
- Is revenue concentrated in a few products or spread evenly?
This is especially useful when:
- narrowing analysis to specific products
- checking whether one product dominates results
Controls
You can control how many products are shown at once:
- Show a limited number of products
- Page forward and backward
- Or show all products together
This helps keep the chart readable when you have many SKUs.
Sales Performance
What it shows
This chart compares current-period product performance with an equivalent past period.
- Bars represent the current period.
- Lines represent the comparable past period.
- The goal is to compare like-for-like time windows.
If no comparison data exists, the chart clearly shows an empty state.
Comparison period clarity
Above the chart, the Dashboard shows:
- the exact date range used for comparison, or
- a message indicating that no past-period data is available
This makes it clear what you are comparing against.
How to use it
Use this chart to answer:
- Are products performing better or worse than last time?
- Is growth consistent or uneven across products?
- Do trends seen in Overview cards hold up over time?
This is a trend validation tool, not a revenue breakdown.

- limit how many products are plotted at once
- move through the product list
2. Performance Summary table
Below the charts is the Performance Summary table.
What it shows
Each row represents a product and includes:

product identity (image, name, ASIN, SKU)

current-period totals such as:
- orders
- units sold
- revenue
Each metric also includes a trend indicator comparing:
- current period
- versus the selected comparison period
What you can do

Sort columns Click any numeric column (for example, Orders or Revenue) to sort ascending or descending.

Review comparison context The table clearly indicates which comparison period is being used, so trend arrows are never ambiguous.
How to use this section effectively
Each part answers a different question:
Revenue Distribution
“Which products drive revenue right now?”
Use it for:
- identifying top contributors
- spotting over-dependence on a single product
Sales Performance
“How is performance changing compared to the same past period?”
Use it for:
- trend confirmation
- time-based performance analysis
Performance Summary
“Which products improved or declined, and by how much?”
Use it for:
- product-by-product comparison
- prioritizing investigation or action
How this fits into the Dashboard flow
This section sits between:
- Tables (structured comparisons), and
- Overview cards (high-level summaries)
Think of Product Performance as the visual reasoning layer that helps explain why numbers in other parts of the Dashboard look the way they do.
